Sturgis 2020
This weekend is the 80th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Every year as many as 450,000 visitors from all over the world attend.
A few miles down the road in Deadwood we have a selection of our jewelry, including Zultanite®, on display at Scott Jacobs Gallery. Scott Jacobs is a world famous artist and a great friend of ours. We recently collaborated with Scott as he designed a Cuervo y Sobrinos watch that features his “Live to Ride” painting, the very painting that lead to him becoming Harley Davidson’s first official licensed artist.
This year we wanted to make something special to commemorate the event featuring our favorite gemstone, Zultanite®. I think we certainly came up with a robust design fit for even the most daring motorcycle enthusiast. We used an Emerald Cut Zultanite® and set it in sterling silver. They Emerald Cut shows off Zultanite®’s best qualities, the large clean table (top part of the gem) conveys nobility and purity of thought. The design itself features pistons, engines, flames and even a skull with a biker’s helmet. These rugged features contrast superbly with the center stone yet strangely also harmonize swell, very interesting.

I would go further and say custom jewelry is a speciality of ours. Over the last 3 years we have made close to 4,000 personalized pieces of jewelry in our Miami workshop. In each case we incorporate our customer’s ideas into a stunning and unique piece of jewelry. Right now we are desperate to keep our workshop fully staffed throughout the winter.
