TAHITIAN PEARLS

Sometimes referred to as “black pearls”, Tahitian Pearls are cultivated around the islands of French Polynesia in the center of the Pacific Ocean.

Tahitian Pearls form over a 2 year process in the black lip oyster, the species known as the Pinctada Margaritafera. The coloration of the outer lip of this breed of oyster is responsible for this unique appearance with colors ranging from charcoal grey to silver often with green, pink, blue, and silver under tones.

The exotic mystique of the Tahitian Pearl is ever present, even simple designs become bold and intriguing.

GOLDEN SOUTH SEA PEARLS

Golden South Sea Pearls are farmed is the warm waters of the Philippines. They form in a particular species of oyster, the Pinctada Maxima, over a two year process. The coloration of the outer lip of the oyster give these South Sea Pearls their golden color, the warmer waters lead to a special soft appealing satin luster. Cleaner waters with lower levels of pollution have historically lead to excellent harvests and Pearls of great size and quality.

TAHITIAN PEARLS & ZULANITE

Always looking for ways to innovate, we made a remarkable discovery.

Zultanite® is a special gemstone, the fresh earthy tones of its color shift are a godsend for designers as they combine with many skin tones, colors of clothes and even with other gemstones.

One day, while working on a custom piece, we found that Zultanite® makes an incredible combination with Pearls. The contrast with Tahitian Pearls is spectacular. We worked with smaller (and sometimes not so small) Zultanite®’s as accent stones around gorgeous Tahitian Pearls with dramatic results. The designs strive for elegance through simplicity. The combination of two exotic, very different yet surprisingly complimentary gems leads to original and exciting jewelry.

AKOYA PEARLS

Classic creamy white Akoya Pearls from Japan will always have a special place in anyone’s jewelry collection. Their elegant, classic and inviting look will keep them in style forever.

Just like withe the Tahitian Pearls, we find that the Akoya Pearls also combine very well with Zultanite® to make interesting and memorable jewelry.
